Warning: all Orange Upgrades - check your charges!
Hi, this is just to warn everyone who has upgraded with Orange to check your charges. I recently upgraded and as there was a fault with the phone had to have it replaced. When the new phone came out, there was an upgrade fee charged to my account. Apparently this is standard practice. Orange are then supposed to void the charge and so the upgraded charge is waived. However, and apparently this is happening a lot, they are forgetting to waive the charge. If your billing date is close or on the date that the charge is applied, you could be forgiven for thinking the charge will be removed on the next month, but this does not always happen. I had this happen to me and spoke with a number of people at Orange who insisted the charge was valid and only when I spoke with a team leader was the charge removed, so if it may take a little while to have the problem resolved, but good luck and for a cost of £250 (nearly £290 with VAT) it is worth it!

Actually I upgraded on Orange this weekend and I received the phone today with the usual invoice saying that I'd been charged nothing. But then I upgraded as I was coming to the end of my contract rather than for any other reason.:A Boots Tart :A0
