Lol! Maybe Wesker hubby's job is decommissioning dungeness nuclear power station?
No he just works at a supermarket lol
It was some 'oddjob' guy that does work for them that gave them to him. Not sure if their intended use was for the Supermarket or not. I think he does work elsewhere too.
Anyway i will PM you andrew-bErrrr...come back later0 -
Look like galvanised ties/straps to me. As above, used for various purposes, the holes are for nails or screws. Worth a couple of pence scrap, or might come in handy if you leave them in the shed.0

I have some of these stored in my shed, they were supplied with the roofing trusses I ordered for a new-build house and were used to strap the wall plate for the roof to the top of the house's walls:"A more modern enhancement to this technique is to include metal straps that help tie the wall plate to the walls. Typically these nail over the wall plate and are then fixed to the inner surface of the wall."

I cut them up into usable lengths as they make great heavy duty brackets etc0 -
Asked my partner who used to work in a supermarket too to see if she recognised them as anything she might have seen. She wondered if they might have been part of the back of shelving but wasnt too sure ..although she said the shelving brackets are really substantial and heavy so it's possible.
