Does anyone know what these are?

Hubby brought some 'things' home from work today that were going to be thrown away. He said they were some sort of bracket but i'm not sure

They are approx 2ft long x 1" wide and a few mms thick and totally flat.
They are very very heavy, galvanised steel maybe?
There are 10 in a pack and i have another pack that are 4ft long.
They are a bit like and angle bracket but they are flat lol :o

They look like tin plated copper busbars to me. Probably quite valuable at a scrap metal merchant.

I think selling for scrap might be my best option. I was going to sell them on ebay but a bit difficult if i dont know what they are
They have some numbers on them but i googled them and nothing came up.
The closest thing i found was a Restraint Strap used in building

If they are galvanized steel they are not worth much. If you take a file or hacksaw to them and reveal copper that's a bit different.

If they are those (think they are simply called "straps") then I actually need a couple for our roof which is of "non-standard construction" with a poor tie to the wall plate at the side of the property. The metal strips would be screwed from the roof rafters to other suitable timbers in the roof to keep the rafters from pushing outwards (rafters will need trimming if we get new fascias fitted). Our neighbour who is a retired carpenter and built many roofs around this way has done the same to his side of the roof. It's something on the list of jobs i need my father to do for me as he knows about these things.

If that is what they are then I'd buy a couple from you Wesker but i suspect with the weight after postage it would be cheaper to buy locally - unless you live close to me!
