How much did you spend today? - Oct 24th

Today I spent nothing at all (hurrah!) having 'borrowed' some milk and biscuits from the staff canteen and made my own sandwiches.
Dearly beloved claims to have spent 35p on a paper. He's learning quick as he's just confessed that he nearly bought a bar of choc, but dreaded the thought of having to declare it when I updated my spreadsheet this evening.
Over the weekend we spent £50, but that included food, a weeks worth of petrol (in order to get Morrisons voucher) and my Dad's christmas present.
Ms_London and Tondella:
I love the sanctuary scrub too - my sis and I swap jars of it for Xmas as that way it feels like you're not buying it for yourself!
A cheaper version though is to take home a couple of handfulls of sand next time you go to the beach (especially if you can get the rougher stuff made of smashed shells), mix it with baby oil (or massage oil) and use it sparingly.

TEco came to £15.48 cos my expensive coffee was on offer so I had to have it.
BUT I got a big piece of salmon reduced from £1.60 to....wait for it.......40p!!! And two vegetable pastry slices for 30p!! So being 48p over budget was OK I think.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Sainsburys are so pants when it comes to reducing items, they hardly reduce anything. It sounds as though Tesco's are fab for that. Perhaps Skintchick is stealing all of the bargains so there are none left for the rest of us :0)0

Morrisons are good for reducing stuff to I find, got some chicken noodley things reduced from £2.99 to 29p and some beef in balsamic and red wine with new potatoes, reduced from £2.99 to 59p on saturday night. I usually find the last hour before before closing is the best time for really cheap stuff.
The chicken noodles made me and OH realise how well we've been eating recently as I've tended to cook a lot from scratch. The chicken tasted salty and not very nice! will make our own next time.
Still it's not something we'd even consider if it hadn't been the reduced section.0 -
