but they give you points for having the software on your pc.i ordered a sainsburys voucher with mine a couple of months ago.not had a problem with the software so it's easy money for me
It is up to you but personally, I like my computer to work.
I also think its a lazy way (and cheap way) for companies to get your details.- And sell them on.
Also, there may be security risks if the wrong people get your details, which they could.0 -
I got this email too but thought they were rather stingy with their rewards which seemed to be entry into prize draw, so to get anything for it you have to win.:rolleyes:If you don't get what you want today maybe the Postie will bring it tomorrow. :j:j:j0

I installed this Nielsen application a couple of months ago, I have had no problems with it and it hasn't slowed my pc down either. They also sent me a £5 High Street voucher as a thank you.0

Slowed my computer down when I installed it, also stopped certain programmes working like the bbc-iplayer and flash drive. I learned from Dell that my graphics cards or something had been corrupted.
I uninstalled, problem fixed, but did have to Wipe my memory from the hard drive and reinstall everything. Not fun!
I didn't get anything from them, and to be honest, £5 would have been a disgrace! They are basicly following everything you do, reading everything you write and able to get all your confidental information which is on the computer. Not only not worth the risk, but a poor payment for all the information they are getting!
But each to their own. Enjoy spending the £5.0 -
originally when i signed up i had probs and uninstalled the software but rejoined last year and pc has been fine with it-and you don't actually have to have it running all the time if you don't want to.as long as there is some kinda record that you're using it then you'll get the points-and save them up for vouchers.it's no hardship for me and something is better than nothing at all0

I got an email today from a survey company asking me to do this but unlike all of you I seem to have been offered an incentive I get c. 8 pounds for just having it on my computer along with the usual entry into sweepstakes etc and so far no problems
i'll see how it goes

I dowloaded this months ago after an invitation via Valued Opinions IIRC. I run Firefox web browser and have no problems with the Nielsen software. I got weekly e-mails at first with prize draw games, but these stopped. I was promised £3 every quarter for keeping the software and did get a random £3 last quarter via Valued Opinions. I think it's worth having if it doesn't affect your computer, but I'd only do it for regular cash not the prize draw entries.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

I've just had the invite via another surbey site I'm a member of (Lightspeed - mods please remove it naming is now allowed).
I'll apparently get 500 LS points (about £4) after 4 weeks and then another 500 points for every extra 3 months of having the software on. What does the software do (unclear on their website).
Undecided but may go for it.:wall: Flagellation, necrophilia and bestiality - Am I flogging a dead horse? :wall:
Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.0 -

The software doesn't actually do anything interactive- eg there are no surveys for you to do. It 'just' watches.
It watches each and every site you go onto, is able to read everything from what you buy, to (more worryingly) what your passowrds are. And yes, it can follow you into your online banking.
It has been known to slow down your computer system (read above) and is not easy to remove as parts of it sort of disperse and remain even after uninstalling it. Some people don't notice, others (me included) notice massivly as pages take minutes rather then seconds to load.
Its up to you if you want to have it on your system, but personally, aside from the security issues and speed issues, I think its a cheap way for companies to get way more information from you then they would from a survey, and then not pay anywhere near enough back to you for all the details that they do have on you. And yes, you can bet it will be sold on. Thats why you get a (small) payment!0
