Club bank account

Hi, and please forgive me if this is inappropriate... (and maybe point me at a better board)

I've just become treasurer of a small community band. We have a bank account for receipts and expenses, and the previous treasurer has nothing but bad things to say about the current bankers. I'd like to find a new provider, obviously one which doesn't charge, maybe offers interest, and allows me easy paying in access.

Does anyone have any experience and/or suggestions on where to look?
