    I grew up with her

    Makes sense!
Wasn't she a lezbefriend as well? or was that just George in the famous five books!??

I was partial to a bit of enid blighton myself, tried to get Erin into the Faraway Tree when she was wee, but the moon shaped man scared her wit-less!

go to charity shops! loadsa enid Blighton books!

Scorched - not sure where the sun has gone, it's not here today either......

Maybe now Erin is older, 7, she would appreciate them more. The thing is she doesn't think reading is fun yet. It's a bit of a chore for her.... school says she's about right for her level, but i was reading books proper way before then...

oh yes BB!!! lacrosse! and jolly hockey sticks!!! this was a lifetime away from my childhood and i wanted to live it!! Closest i ever got to a boarding school was visiting my brother in borstal!!

I'm back. Took Charlie down to the water with my sister and niece and they've gone off to do bowling and I think then lunch at somewhere like Nando's. I can't do bowling because of my back and I needed to do a few bits so they'll do the bowling etc and then come back here later.

I can't believe how much 1 adult and 1 six year old can spread themselves around a house in less than 48 hours!!

Maybe you should have left the housework until AFTER their visit:rotfl:

All good here NAGH. How's the bar work panning out. You've been pretty quiet the last wee while... is it wearing you out? Or are you saving yourself for paying customers ;)
