I'm sure they are wrong and he will be nice and small...

We have a posh cot bed my aunt has donated, but it's too big to fit into our bedroom and I don't fancy treking up and downstairs for night time feeds so we need something small to go by our bed for the first few months
OH suggested we put him in a sock drawer..teeheee

and i must say i am surprised we haven't been told off yet for deviating from the original topic...!

lol!! I haven't replied cos I know Soo will be along and slap our wrists for not talking about ebay!! I could talk babies all day long!!

Thanks everyone for well wishing icon7.gif

You know what I'm going to say don't you..and Angel, I'm really nice, honest and am a mother myself :A

Why not start a thread on the Discussion board there are a lot of people on the forum who wouldn't see the thread here but who might like to chat about babies.

I think what I'll do is close this thread now but please do keep chatting over on the dicussion board or in the Arms and i'll come across and join in. If the original point of this thread resurfaces then please just start a new thread.

    Hope that's OK.

Just an on-topic update..I emailed the seller with a brief synopsis of all our contact via email and phone, and hoped that she would realise she was in the wrong.
she just sent back an email saying is I make any further contact she will deem it harrasment..
    I am really shocked.
This went from a normal sale, with friendly contact to sudden nastiness.
am I being clueless in thinking I have done nothing wrong here?
I believe in my email last I extended the proverbial olive branch, by saying, lets work this out so both of us don't end up with negative feedback...
what is going on? Is this my fault?

Perhaps the seller has recently stopped taking her meds. ;) I think all you can do now is deal with the dispute against you if it's still ongoing, and possibly start a non-performing seller complaint against her. With a feedback rating of 2, I'd consider starting a new account after feedback is exchanged, especially if you get a strike as well.

teeheee...she has acted a litle out of sorts on this..
can you get a new account with the same email address etc? plus i'll be sad to lose my current very positive feedbacks.
Maybe reasoinable sellers will look at the bigger picture so the strike won't go against me?
sorry for all the questions..but I am obviously new to ebaying, and don't know how it works, but I also plan to list things soon and don't want this to affect my sales.

  • Tell you what, there are some really strange folk around.

I would do what is suggested above and open a new account and move on from this. It's not worth the stess, believe me.

A few words of wisdom too. Buy a few cheap things for 99p or less to build your feedback up as a feedback of 2 isn't a good basis to start selling.

Try and get your feedback up to 10+ before you list to boost confidence and sales :)

Also, I keep my buying and selling separate. I have an account for selling and a an account for buying. (might be worth considering?)

Finally good luck with the baby.

The negative feedback shouldn't hurt you much if you leave a sensible reply. If you are like me and don't put your bid in until the last minute, sellers can't stop you winning their auctions anyway. The strike, however, is a bit more worrying, as if you rack up three of these (in theory) your account will be suspended.

As for whether you need a unique e-mail address for a new account, I don't know, but you can always change the one registered to your old account first. *Major clue alert* Several sites, for example https://www.cjb.net, offer free e-mail forwarding (along with free web hosting in that case, which you don't have to actually use), so you can set up a virtual e-mail account that's perfect to use for things like ebay. If you start to get a lot of spam etc., you can just start up a new e-mail account, update ebay and close down the old one. You can also use a unique address for each site you visit, so that you know who's passing on your details. All the while, your "real" e-mail address stays hidden from public view.

Maybe, or it could be 2 different people. Some couples use a shared eBay account, which I think is a bit odd, but there are some odd people out there.
