Honestly!! You should stick the stamps straight on the item and forget about any packaging!! I know some people would say this is fair enough but should I try this next time i order my shopping from a proper retailer? I think not.
Getting a bit fed up of mardy buyers who think cause its off ebay they should get stuff free . They dont seem to realise thats theres a person on the other end trying to make a living and has to pay for the item, postage and packaging in the first place.

If you think it is okay for the buyer to send an alternative payment that was not listed, then I think it is fine for the seller to send completely different goods to those advertised in the auction.

    I agree.

The buyer sent goods to the value of the item instead of money, so the seller should send goods to the value of the item back.

A cheque for £1.11 and 8 first class stamps should cover it. ;)

I think it's a rather pointless argument. Send the goods and if u dont want this to happen again ensure you make this clear in your listing. There are quite a few people out there who mistakenly believe stamps are legal tender in the UK. I don't suppose it has anything to do with proving a point.
