Postage to Switzerland

You have double checked that your seller is happy to accept cash haven't you? only so many sellers, myself included will not accept cash due to the amount of post that goes walkies.
I'd also say wow you must have some sort of bargain, 3 Euros for an ebay win and post and packing from Europe!! That's only about £1.80 so the seller must be operating on the smallest profit imaginable.

Just to remind you that Switzerland is in Europe but not in the EU, so I would check with the Post Office/Royal Mail. As I once had a buyer from Switzerland and it was slightly more expensive than EU countries (but it was a while ago now and my memory could be playing up!)0

I'm not suggesting that someone would be so petty as to rob you for 3 euros. But have you thought about the possibility that the seller could say that it has not arrived yet?
You have no proof of receipt..
Of all the criticisms i throw at Paypal, the one plus is that it does make international payments incredibly easy (and cheap)0 -

Yes, I had forgotten to check if he accepted PayPal: he suggested cash when I contacted him to apologise & ask if he wanted to cancel the bid.
Actual price was CH3.20, or 2.15 Euros. (Actual item CH1.00 [44p!]). I sent three as it was easier. Put coins in a small jiffy bag (recycled), sandwiched in cardboard. Stuck two 50p stamps on (removed from previously received envelope - missed postmark
). Wrote AIRMAIL in big red letters on the front. Hope that'll do.
I can't see him bothering to nick such a trifling amount of cash - he has good feedback.
The item? 1917 penny. Guessing from the photo, book price of £3.00 - £15.00, I'll know better when I have it. eBay is great for coins, if you can sort through the rubbish. If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0
