Postage to Switzerland

Hi,
I've got to post a seller three Euros - he's in Switzerland (forgot to check if he had PayPal  )
If I put the coins in an envelope sandwiched between a couple of bits of card, or in a jiffy bag, will a first class stamp be sufficient postage?
Cheers all

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Airmail to Europe. Won't the seller take a bank transfer or something?
Edit: Scratch the bank transfer bit - just checked my bank and the charges are insane!0 -
Might be easier if you send a €5 note. Might get there undetected. Coins I think would go walkies.0

Thanks masonic - any idea how much 3 euros and some cardboard weigh? I never sell stuff, so have no idea about this - my only problem is how to get payment to the seller. Incidentally, any reason why it should go airmail? I want cheap, and don't care if it's slow.If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

That's what the cardboard's for.I have absolute confidence in the postal system, and nothing will go wrong. Trust me, I'm blindly optimistic.
Hasn't let me down yet:rotfl:

As for the weight, I have some digi-scales but I can't remember how big a euro coin is. If you can give me a rough idea in terms of UK money, I could give you some idea of the weight.0 -
It's amazing what you can find if you go ogle: Euro coin weights
Small envelope plus card (be liberal!) should come to about 10g.0 -
So, if I stick two first class stamps on the envelope and write "AIRMAIL" on it in nice big letters, will that be ok?If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0

The postage will be from 42p (up to 19g) to 60p for 59g! You can't post to Europe cheaper than that. Surface mail, which will WALK there is just 2p cheaper.
I got a mystery package once. Jiffy bag, some bubble wrap, then cardboard and lots of sellotape. Half an hour of tearing and pulling later, I found some coins. I was ever so surprised AND I was waiting for this payment. I just expected it to be more rattly...:wall:0 -

Yes. As long as it's lighter than 60g.:wall:0 -
