  • Dear Samanthag, Peace on to you.

Clause 4.4 of the contract for orange services provides:

4.4 terminating your contract because Orange is no longer able to provide access to the Network
If, for reasons beyond our control, we are no longer able to provide Network Services, we will at our discretion either: 4.4.1 make arrangements for you to be supplied with equivalent Services by another network at no extra cost to you, or 4.4.2 accept written notice from you that you wish to terminate your Contract. In such cases we will refund any pre-paid Charges that have not been used up.

Hope you find a fair resolution to the issues you are experiencing.

    Gus
    Peace

if you are very very very lucky they may allow you to terminate through goodwill, as it stands though, you chose to move not Orange, it's not there problem.

the clause you are attempting to use is "because Orange is no longer able to provide" i.e. they once could provide access from that location previously but can't anymore. Unless you can prove that the signal was actually once available there will be hard to prove.

If moving house was a reason to terminate then tons of people would take out a contract days before they moved knowing full well they can wriggle out of it days later with a new phone to flog elsewhere

this is spot on. you will be liable for the duration of your contract. see if one of the independant shops in your area will buy you out of it as part of a new contract deal on another network
:p It is better to be thought of as an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt
