Single and in debt.

Just a wee bit of encouragement for those who in the 'I can't meet anyone because I can't afford to go out trap.'
I was on my own for five years after my marriage broke up. I couldn't afford to go out much because any spare money went on doing my house up or my daughter.
Last year things felt even worse because I had nearly 6 months off work after being assaulted. I spent the time worrying frantically about money in case I wasn't fit to go back before the sick pay ran out.
To help with the finances and to keep my mind off things I spent hours entering competitions (something I enjoyed in the past). Not only did I win lots, I started dating my postman and we have been together for a year now.So being thrifty got me a lovely bloke.
I still choose to live on my own as I have got used to my own space- like some of you have said- but its nice having someone.0 -

not sure this will work so be nice.
1. Do one thing - a new different thing to help reduce your debts
2. If you are sick of being single or need a confidence boost make a connection however small with some one you find attractive.
You have until next Saturday!
xx
So this week
Try to lose 4lbs
Deal with two creditors who have just crawled out of the woodwork
Save some money somewhere
Write an email to the handsome soldier penpal, I've been writing to since December.
Count me in!

Ooooo nice going, I must admit my postman has the most gorgeous legs and it is most distracting when I go past him on the way to do the school run0 -

Quite the oppositte for me, I gave up the house, and moved out leaving her with the lot, for the sake of the kids (not my real kids), Id just spent a fortune on that place too.
Well he's getting to keep a 4 bed detached and all it's contents - kids are both at uni but still come home so I wanted them to have all the old familiar things to come back to.Right now I know some guy is sat on my leather reclyner, holding my remote, wearing my slippers. But all of that is just material, I can easily rebuild. You could say my X came out laughing from this, but its one thing to have it handed over, a completely different story to keep and maintain it.
He's the one who wanted out - mid-life crisis, he's convinced there is a queue of young blondes with big boobies out there just waiting for him to become available <sigh>
I did say I hope what he's looking for is worth the price he is going to pay - and I don't just mean money!0 -
