Help with new ink fitted and not all colours showing

Anyone have any words of wisdom for me 
I purchased Black and Colour 'compatible' cartridges for my Canon Pixma MP150. I fitted them as described and adjusted the printhead alignment, as it said I may have to. Black is coming out fine but only getting yellow and a faint fuzzy blue....no other colours work!
I have cleaned print heads twice and done a deep clean, done test pages and all other troubleshooting.
Have I just got a dud one or is there something else I could do
Any tips gratefully recieved :A Thanks all
