    Gas = 14,500 kWh (Used to be 21,500 before installing new condensing boiler)
    Elect = 2,500 kWh

    Currently paying £51pm for dual fuel with E-on, but after recent 're-alignment' of their on-line tariffs it should probably be closer to £60pm.

    3 bed detached house (c. 1973), cavity wall & loft insulation, fully double glazed, 2 adults (over 60's) and no kids at home. Almost no low-energy lamps (don't like the sickly green colour) although outside security lighting is low energy.

    A tumble drier is absolutely essential in this God-forsaken part of the country (East Midlands) where it never seems to stop raining for 10 months of the year, and the sun rarely shines! We do try to minimise our electricity usage by switching off anything not in use, but the fridge and freezer still account for about £50pa even though they are both 'A' rated. Our weakness is the TV/PVR and the computer, both of which we use far too much!

    Can`t check my yearly use as Eon website down but any appliance apart from the fridge and freezer that have a plug that gets hot I turn it off when its not in use. The freeview box doesn`t take long to come on. I have 3 teenage daughters and an 8 year old who mimics them so i`m always in their room turning stuff off.
