Unlocking Siemens C45

I have a Siemens C45 on the Spanish Vodaphone network. I am in the UK at the moment and bought a UK Vodaphone SIM card yesterday but when I put it in, the message 'locked' comes up. I thought being another Vodaphone card it would just work but obviously not. I notice reading the threads that some of the Siemens phones can't be unlocked by codes. Does anyone know if this is the case with the C45? If it can be unlocked can someone give me the code please and tell me what to do with it! Do I need to leave the original SIM in whilst doing it or do I put in the new SIM? The IMEI is: 350673720988260.
Thanks
Kate
