They are such a pain to peel when raw, and then boil normally, so will be using this method next time. Sounds yummy, and easy.

Just another wee tip about turnips (or swede for you English people!).
Chew a wee cube of it raw and it is a brilliant natural remedy for acid indigestion. My mum used to do this and passed the tip on to me. It really works!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Hi, it was me who put the micro tip on here, I prod with a knitting needle or skewer. It is a good was for celariac too which is such an odd shape to peel. Glad I could help.0

i have just been given these, am i better to blanch them and freeze or cook and mash then freeze.
dont want to waste them.0 -
