We are all guilty as charged this time of the year! lolBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

OK, so apart from a couple of pressies and prearranged nights out and lunches I pledge to spend no more (unnecessarily) this year. (obviously groceries and petrol need buying but I'll keep them as low as poss.)
Good news today - I was worried my TT bill would be sky high this month as I'd spent ages on the phone to them sorting my broadband out, but those calls were FREE! phone/BB for the month was less than £17.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

credit card balance is way up towards £1000 again and I still have more petrol to buy... it's going to be a struggle to pay it off next pay so I'd better behave myself.
Got some flowers by post from my sis and they look a bit rough, this is the second time she's sent me flowers using this company and the others weren't too healthy either, dilemma is do I tell her or just let her waste money? which is more polite? (the reason she sends by post is that she's far far away so won't ever see them)Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I would tell her, those companies often use smaller local florists..and it may be that they are just taking the mick..if she puts in a complaint and a photo it would be better..i would hate to see my sis wasting money.
It happened to hunny once, he sent me some but they were all in bud..nothing at all like he had ordered..and it was made worse by me laughing, because he used to buy me ones from the garage that were like that and said they last longer..It was was of his nicer romantic gestures..lolBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Yep, I got a card through the door yesterday from PO and picked them up there today, maybe they've been bashed about in the PO though...
Just put two earnings enquiries in on quidco - never done that before! Just checked and it could take up to 60 days to sort out....Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

If i remember from mine they came in a polystyrene container and it said they had been chilled ( i think) it could be that..but there had been no bashing about and they were supposed to arrive fresh looking and were guarenteed.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Had a night out with friends last night and managed to spend less than a tenner - £20 budgeted so all good there. unfortunately we had a chinese carryout here first and I have yet to sort out the kitchen...
Plan for the weekend:
1. [strike]sort out kitchen[/strike]
2. [STRIKE]tackle ironing mountain[/STRIKE]
3. [strike]finish christmas shopping[/strike]
4. write and post christmas cards
5. work out what's in the freezer and get minimal shop this week
6. Make up for last night's excesses by eating very healthily for the rest of the weekend (two more meals out planned for next week)
7. find rest of jewellery and bring some money in for Dec.
8. revisit the up your income section and see if there are any options available for me.
9. Do some exercise and go for sauna as membership ends soon!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
