With *your* accent?! Sheesh... Can you imagine them dealing with people dug from the centre of some of our larger cities?"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I don't think I'm that broad Z but lots of English call centres have said they can't understand it! usually said with a very thick scouse or brummy accent! (No offense to either scousers or brummies BTW)Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I've spoken to you, and it's a very soft accent. I used to work with a guy who was a lot, lot worse.
The worst experience I've had with a call centre was indian. I was speaking to Kayveen. Spelt K-E-V-I-N. Yes, I did ask him to spell it. :rotfl:
The other one was a London call centre. Bit of a shocker when I asked where he was based..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Speaking of call centres I got a call the other day from one of those banks that are currently being bailed out by another saying that as I was such a good customer would I like their new card! I just laughed and said no thanks.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

This being skint lark is starting to bore me now - so many times this week I've nearly bought something and had to stop and work out how much that would work out over a year, think I have an urge to spend, spend, spend. I won't though but feeling a bit sorry for myself. Still it's ONLY nine months so got to keep on going.
Enough of the self pity though, I'm going to try and focus on the future and how good it will be without debts.Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Little blip of good news, a while back I ordered some perfume through quidco - actually I think it was in June! They mucked up the order (although managed to take the money straight away) and declined the cashback too. Eventually when I finally got the perfume I decided to treat it as a lesson learned, it was still much cheaper than on the high street and it did arrive eventually but today quidco is showing as having received £1.35 for them and this was without raising a ticket. Not much but every little helps. Just did some christmas shopping too so dad and brother are now sorted and cosy (fleeces), just mum to buy for now. Figured while I was in the mood to spend I should buy the stuff I NEED to buy!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

So is it beginning to bore you? Or to depress you?skint_spice wrote: »Still it's ONLY nine months so got to keep on going.
Well that's part of the problem, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's part of human nature to stop driving yourself so hard when the end is in sight - that's why most mountaineers are killed coming down from the top, rather than climbing up.skint_spice wrote: »Enough of the self pity though, I'm going to try and focus on the future and how good it will be without debts.
And don't forget you can talk to people about it, rather than beating yourself up about it."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I do that all the time, i always feel incredibly guilty if i buy something for myself (clothes ) but never feel guilty if it is for the children..i think it is the mummy gene..as well as the debt gene..Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
