I've had a halifax CC before Lou, do you think I'd still qualify? I thought about the paydayloans but worried how that would look on a credit check? still wanting to move this year or early next... do you think it would look ok?

I dont think they do a credit check as you have to pay the loan back the same month. Not 100% sure though.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

I was meaning more if mortgage company checked and saw their name - do you mean they wouldn't appear cos they don't do a check? am numpty!
I've just checked quidco and should get £17 at end of June but I think they've still to take off the admin about now so £12ish. and also £3.40 in topcashback due then too. I had hoped to reach pay out on onepoll but it's really slowed down recently...

I fancy a wee challenge with myself to try and make some money by the end of June as my holiday spends will be somewhat limited otherwise (currently looking like £40) and I'd like to take DS to the zoo and a couple of other places during our fortnight off. Not much left to sell though... But will get my finger out and do something. Pal who I'm supposed to be doing a car book sale with just doesn't seem to get round to it ever so looks like I'll have to do it alone,

Be careful about doing it alone - there are a preponderance of light fingers at these places. It means you can't go to the loo, and you have to be able to watch more than one person at once.
I did say by the end of May at the latest but she's never got her stuff together. Bit worried about her as she's really skint, heavily in debt but doesn't seem to want to do anything to fix it. Can't force a LBM...

She'll be in denial, and it will take time for her to come out of it. Her old life is gone forever.

Both things that put me off and why I've been waiting on her! I can't ask best mate because I want to sell lots she's given me... have friend I did one with a while back so might ask her.

I think she might be in the depression stage "what's the point" sounds more like her. Needs a kick up the rear!

she knows that I've been trying to pay off my debts but thinks I'm really lucky to be able to but although there are things I've got going for me I don't really think luck is one of them. She has sky+ and sees it as a necessity and gives her kids money although they are young adults and I think she should tell them to get jobs... she's lovely but working herself into the ground and still spending because as far as she's concerned she can't fix things...

Yes, it's that "luck" thing again - the get-out clause for the unfoccussed...

When you're fit and trim, it'll be "luck" once more, and all the hours in the gym will be an irrelevance.

It will come to the point when things will change for her: "If things can't last - they won't."

I'm feeling fine today so off to the gym in a bit. Got lots of gardening to do so that will be the afternoon I think as I've been avoiding it because of the wind and rain.

    This weekends list:

    tidy/clean lounge
    tidy/clean kitchen and bathroom
tidy/clean DS's room (mine just needs the bed changed but otherwise it's tidy)
Do ironing once everything is dry - I'm such a saddo that blue skies mean outside drying before the beach or bbqs these days!
    DO NOT BOOK HOLIDAY!!!

I know how you feel, i wanted to book one today, but won't i am going camping and stuff as cheaply as possible and we can't afford a week away. All will be funded by ebay flogging and DS and DD2 are contributing as well, or not coming one of the two.

Days out, i am using clubcard deals and airmile vouchers for English heritage memberships, camelot ( our local themepark) although i am just sending kids and god children on rides i will watch the lovely chaps on horseback instead;)I have got National Trust cards too ( i am borrowing my brothers:rolleyes:, he has borrowed mine in the past)

I have free entry into Warwick castle and some entry to use up in Stratford upon Avon, so will be camping at a great site near there..all in all not to bad if weather stays like this.
Oh and visiting DD1 in Cornwall:D:j Happy Bob today.:rotfl:
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:
