Hello Beanie, no I have two cards still but BC will be gone by the end of January then it's just one. There's not much left on BC but I'm going to keep that one for emergencies - it's no longer in my purse!
Not sure that I can do so well on the food budget next week as the freezer is starting to look a little bare...Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

All looking good though Skinty. Perhaps have a big batch cook for the freezer, base sauces, spag bol etc?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

They would both freeze well and cost pennies in comparison. What about some sponge cakes for DS? and you can freeze a couple of weeks worth of sandwiches too.:DSo if you get bored with soup you can do the opposite.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

there's not that much room in the freezer TBH! it's the smaller part of the fridgefreezer! I have recognised my can't be assedness though and have been making up the lunches the night before which I don't usually do. I'm just trying to spot all the signs that winter will end one day and it won't always be dark and miserable - so far we have the crocuses and the marginally lighter mornings, I did remark to my boss that it wasn't quite dark on the way home tonight. Looking forward to all the wee lambs appearing.... and yes I do realise that February is usually the coldest month but it's also very short!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I noticed that it was a bit lighter tonight at 5pm so the signs are there. Feb is short so soon be March and then Easter. Not long now.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

mmmm.... not done ANYTHING off that list yet! I did the shopping today and spent £36 - yikes! but in my defence I did buy a fitted sheet and two pillow cases as I'd been looking for some dark red ones for ages and they were finally in today. amazingly these things are coming off the shopping budget these days and not adding to the credit card total!
apart from that I have mainly been playing Samba des Amicos - or whatever it's called - since DS came home, no Wii fit here but that must burn the calories a wee bit! and it's fun!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

It is surprising how we can all change things around, although i need to redress a few things and work out budgets for the next month as even though i have been overpaying i don't always factor in the Mr.B effect! lol.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

That's the one benefit of being single Bob, there's only one person spending the money.
I am off to watch a film with DS and there's a big sticky bun with my name on it....shhh, don't tell the Red/Green folk... and I had pizza for dinner....oh, I'm well and truly bad! I was MS though - only bought the belgian buns cos they were reduced to 65p for the two!Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000
