Could I tell you about Pyramid Schemes???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!! The amount of scams some of myfamily members have and are into is amazing.
Betting syndicates (I think we all know the main one that is in deep water at the moment) lottery syndicates, potions, lotions and cure-alls - I've been lured by them all, and they've all fallen flat on their faces.
These are PYRAMID SCAMS (oops I mean schemes). Letterbox is NOT a pyramid schemes. It really isn't.
Oh and one other thing - pyramid schemes are very divisive - we had lots of fallings out over them. Everytime my family member rings I don't think 'oh how nice to hear from her' its 'oh no, whats she trying to flog me now'. Sorry to ramble on, but I really hate pyramid schemes!Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0 -
I applied for this when I get Martins email yesterday afternoon, filled out 6 names and addresses and sent it off. I didn't get an email back so waited until this morning to see if it had been done. I then looked on here and realised that it appears to be closed now. Anway I thought I would email and ask how I would get my credit as I had not been emailed and was told that their system had an error yesterday and that all the names and addresses sent were not logged and so I did not get the credit. She then said that if I sent her the information she would check them and then give me the credit even though the offer is closed. I was so pleased with their customer service skills and they replied so quickly. I now have the £12 and will enjoy spending it with them, its so nice when you come across a company that carries through their offers as well as selling wonderful items.
If you havn't had your credits email the address at the bottom of their home page.0 -
I applied yesterday morning before I got Martins email....
I emailed them today to see when my credit for referring 18 friends (which took me a while to fill in!) would be applied and they basically told me - 'tough! We had already withdrawn the offer even though it was showing on our site till later that day'
How Rude!!0 -
ditto abijanzo - they did that to my brother as well - he fille dout names yesterday morning and was basically told tough0

I've just emailed them. Let's see what their response is. If they didn't receive the information, I don't expect any of my friends to receive a catalogue.

I can't fault these people for customer service so far. My order was showing as despatched yesterday afternoon & I only placed the order at 11am. The livechat feature they have is very helpful.0

This is the email that I have had a positive response from

Dear Sarah.
Thank you for your e-mail. I am afraid that the offer that you refer to was withdrawn yesterday.
Due to a delay in the uploading of the website, the offer may have still appeared even though it had by this time been withdrawn. Unfortunately we will therefore not be able to credit your account.
As mentioned on the site we do reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Lindsey Thomas

I have asked her to confirm that she has removed all my friends' details from her database.
Shame - it was a good offer for those who got it. Well done!!

Yes that's the one that told me tough cookies (not in so many words) so you must have got her just after her tea break or something!
I emailed 3 times politely explaining I had spent time and effort to referr 18 people and also said that I knew of someone who had received her credit even though she's applied later than I had - all to no avail.
She did say that the referrals wouldnt be sent out.
Thanks for the post though OP....
I dont rate a company that wont honour it's own promotions though.0 -
Exactly the same woman who told my brother the same - he got the same email as posted a few posts above. I don't see that it would cost them much to honour the ones that were sent when the offer was still up on the website - I mean changes to the website should be instantaneous so as soon as they removed the offer it should have been removed from the website0
