Hi there sorry if i seem dim but have just bought my daughter a Nokia 3220
on Tesco Mobile IMEI 357063008211861 which i would like to unlock so she can put her Orange sim card in - i went to the site at the begining of the thread and got some codes used 2 but still not unlocked bit worried about using more - i don't know if i'm doing it wrong as there were some drop down choices which i left on default didin't know what they were, also do i put the sim card (old or new) in when i'm trying to unlock? Sorry to be a pain.. can you tell me step by step please DD hovering driving me mad Thanksi'm living in a parallel universe0 -
Unlock Instructions: (for Missfrugal !)
1. Only try the supplied code once
2. Take out the SIM card from the phone.
3.Type in the following code in the phone
#pw+189364716775662+7#
the phone will then normally reboot itself and come back on at which point it is unlocked. Try with a simcard from another network and it should accept it (you may be asked for the security code which is 12345 unless you changed it or "PIN code" if the sim card itself has a security code(normally a 4 digit code supplied with the sim card) )
If you get an error message make a note and reply again with that error
code.
Further Informational Instruction:
1. To show p in the phones display - just press * three times within two seconds.
2. To show w in the phones display - just press * four times within two seconds.
3. To show + in the phones display - just press * twice within two seconds.Ex forum ambassador

afraid so....you missed the bit about only trying the code once
not the end of the world, you can take it to a independent phone shop ( not Carphone Warehouse or Phones4u) or market stall and pay about £5 to £10 to get it unlocked
where are you, maybe someone can point you in the right directionEx forum ambassador
