Would i be able to get more for it in scrap...as there is alot of metal on it,lol? what is the process and where do i take it-seems a shame to destroy something that is perfectly usable but if i get some more £'s then thats more like it!
Any advice much appreciated, thanks guys, every little helps these days!!
Laura.
yes they will pay for it,,, hubby is in the middleof cutting down one of his old land rovers as we will get more money by taking it to the scrap yard, rather than them come and pick it up, plus the outer panels of landrovers are an alu mix, so is worth more than general scrap, which cars come under....
if the scrap man comes around... they say that the ywill take it away for free, but if you say you want to sell it for scrap, then they willoffer £20, and work their way up, to around the £50 mark, but if you can take it to a scrap metal merchant... you will get a lot more money...
have a look in the yellow pages.. under scrap metal merchants.. and phone around, as each one the price does vary...
scrap prices are very high at mo.. its over 3k for copper.... alu is around the £500 markWork to live= not live to work0 -

Have you tried the Belfast Landrover centre in erm Saintfield? I have been there and they break up Landrovers for spares http://www.blrc.co.uk/Dave0 -
I scrapped a 93 Fiesta yesterday and the scrap dealer gave me £150 for it. When you had to pay to have them scrapped we sold them for £50 for Banger racing but scrap prices are sky high againbelfastgirl23 wrote: »Is this any car? I've always had to pay to have my car scrapped before (between £50-£100) - it would be amazing to get something working the other way for a change

thanks for all the replies i have been away for a few days so i have been unable to reply.
the SUV is Mitsibushi Warrior Sport with all leather and is in black. it is only 3 and a bit years old and has privacy glass.
I have since one guy offer me 7,000 quid but i feel that is alittle low for a car that cost 22,000 brand new.
i might try ebay:cool:
