Hi, sorry to be a bit thick, but can I put 2.6K into my Lloyds TSB Fixed ISA?
I have already put 1k into a Barclays ISA but cos I can transfer using online banking am I ok to put the remainder into the TSB?
Also this will put me near to the 35k threshold, few k below except for at paydays, does anyone see any major probs with this???
Thanks
P

You can only contribute to one ISA of that type in the same tax year.
If you paid that £1k in during this tax year then you are stuck with that until next tax year (or you transfer the ISA).Also this will put me near to the 35k threshold, few k below except for at paydays, does anyone see any major probs with this???
Not with Barclays and especially not with Lloyds.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
You can only make payments into one cash ISA in any tax year. So if you paid into the Barclays ISA in this tax year then no you can't pay into the Lloyds ISA.0
