You have to ring your service provider and ask them to disable it.0

Or you can cancel all types of diverts from your phone but I am not an SE user so can't guide you on the menu options. The thanks button is here to the right. If you find a post saves you money, gives you useful information, or you agree with it, take a second to thank the poster!

The network provider controls VM not the phone (i.e if the mobile is out of service or switched off the caller will still be diverted to VM)
Call your provider.
HTHI think my monitor's running out of ink....0 -

Not if you have requested that voice mail is deactivated. Voice mail is not compulsory. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
that's right. if you set it up so that it never diverts your VM won't kick in and you'll get an unreachable recorded message from the operator if the network can't connect to the phone.
By the way the phone menu options actually send signals to the network to control the diverts... only thing to always be wary of is if you go abroad make sure you divert to voicemail BEFORE leaving the UK else the divert is set up by the foreign network and you get double-billed for all messages left (once for the call to you abroad, and again for the call from there back to your UK voicemail). The thanks button is here to the right. I always assumed the network provider controlled VM (activate or deactivate).
So if I ask the network provider to deactivate VM i can contol VM via the phone?I think my monitor's running out of ink....0 -
It doesn't always work if you try to change it through the phone menu, so you are best doing it through the network. So it depends what network you are on. For 02, you call 1760 to turn it off and 1750 to turn it on. Both calls are free
T-Mobile you call 222 to turn it on, not sure about off though... But just phone your network. 0
