Hi spandit, I don't mean to be thick but do you mean it will still work if you add the £10 voucher code before you get to the till? (and not wait until you're at the till like you did?!)
Did you get the £10 voucher AND the free £10 voucher?
Also did they not notice that the total didn't get any higher when you added the £10 voucher?0 -
spandit wrote:No, but if you add 888/1001 (£10 gift voucher) to your order, they then add the free promo code and because of a glitch with their tills, this voucher ends up being the free one! I tried it this weekend - my bill came to £96.98, I then asked to buy a £10 gift voucher, and the total came to £96.98!!
ill see tomorrow if that works0 -
if you spend slightly under £50 or £100, give a few pence to charity at the till to take you over:) i tried the till thing, didnt work0

I spent just over £50 a couple of weeks ago to get the £10 voucher, then last week I went back to get items to the value of £65 & tried to use the £10 voucher as part of the payment but the woman said I wouldn't be able to have another voucher if I used this one, I explained that even with the voucher it was still over £50 in cash but she still wouldn't let me do it!If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in

zoe, the till person was misinformed. I've frequently used the voucher as part of the payment and got new vouchers just as if I would have paid without vouchers. I've always asked before handing over the money and voucher, whether paying with a voucher would still entitle me to get the promotional voucher due; but was always told that I certainly would.
Morover, you can print out the terms and conditions of the voucher promotion from Argos website and see/show that there is no mention of any prohibition of payment with vouchers to earn vouchers back.0 -
I paid all in cash in the end. Do the terms & conditions still apply with these 'free' vouchers though? If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in

Well i spent 60.00 in Argos Stevenage yeaterday and nearly walked out the store without my voucher.
I had to ask for it as they weren't giving them out as far as i could see.
I bet loads of people didn't get their vouchers as its not advertised instore.

The above info is correct, I purchased an item on Tuesday for £49.99 the cashier said i was 1p short of the £5 voucher would I like her to put it thru "Charity", I said yes and got the £5 voucher.0 -
Took back a scanner today (Scratches all over the lid) and interestingly the cashier refused to refund me the full amount, only the amount with the £5 taken off. Thought this would be a bit strange in the context that if an item went faulty 6 months on they probably wouldn't ask for the voucher back so I checked the T&C's when I got in.
13. If all or some of the products are returned under the Argos 16-day money back guarantee, thereby reducing the
value of the original transaction to a) less than £50 (in respect of transactions between £50-£99.99) or b) less
than £100 (in respect of transactions over £100), the voucher must be returned. If the voucher is not returned,
the voucher amount will be deducted from the money refunded. Vouchers cannot be sold or transferred.
The product was worth £79.99 so the cashier was wrong it seems to deduct the voucher value?
Might be worth a complaint, although then again I will probably use the voucher
