    It's a really long shot, but whereabouts in the country are you, roughly? I don't have time for a horse of my own any more, but I was recently thinking about horse-sharing. My problem is the same as yours - responsible, experienced, trustworthy people are hard to find. :(

    Still no reply e mail

    i have given them a call and left a message on answer phone.

    He has an absess in his foot so im off to poultice it and feed him his antibiotics and bute and put him to bed

    Hi Anychance, I have just seen details of EMW (Equine Market Watch) which is a charity that offers sanctuary to horses in need and also watches horse markets and fairs to ensure cruelty and abuse are dealt with. There is an article about them in June edition of Horse Deals mag.
    The website for this charity is found by Googling "Equine Market Watch", I don't know if they could help but maybe worth a go.

    Just spoke to a lovely lady on the phone who said she would advertise him for loan through them and see if they have any response.

    No room for him at the moment at the sanctuaries so just have to wait and see what happens, apparently they are being swamped with similar calls for help
