because we are not sure on area now we still love east sussex so are going to sell ours and rent for 6months to a year to get a feel for different areas.downside of renting for us is we have 2 small dogs so findind someone that will rent to us might be hard.
Not too bad in rural locations, where most owners have dogs - as well as other animals.
I have three dogs - two large  - and whilst finding a rental is not plain sailing, it's certainly not impossible.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac

My dad still does the commute to Brighton every day but that is at 6am coming back about 8pm so maybe not that typical! i would try it out then try it by train which might be better. As others have said cooden and collington are the nicest areas and sidley probably best avoided otherwise i would say its all ok. The good thing about a fairly elderly population is that you still have the smaller shops in the town as well as the big tesco i love the fact that when i visit my folks the butcher knows me(yes i am sad). There are a good few primary schools in bexhill i lose track of which is best right now but St Richards certainly better than the local high school though quite tough on the catholic selection criteria i think, my parents sent me to Claverham out in Battle which is also pretty good.0
