oooh, I'm being dead posh today and I'm having my shopping delivered by the new Waitrose Delivers vans. I've tried Ocado once, but the vouchers are always £5 off £80 or £90 shops and Waitrose food is so dear!! Apparently Ocado comes from a big Waitrose wrehouse and Waitrose Delivers is picked in store.

Anway, I saw the £15 off £50 shop code on the home page of MSE so I've bought some bits. With my sister and niece coming on Wednesday I need to get some extra food but thought it a good opportunity to try a few different things.

I'll hide the moutain of Asda carrier bags.........don't wont dem finking I'm common, like!

Oh I looked at that - let us know what the service is like. Waitrose is expensive but they do some lovely things you can't get elsewhere. Mum and dad shop there a lot (they drive by one on the way home from work and often pop in. Not very MSE but we had some lovely dinners while we were visiting)

    Oh bum

When I checked with waitrose the other day it said a delivery service was available in our area but now I've gone through the registration process and tried to select a delivery slot it says delivery not available to our area!

Looks like there's more noise coming your way!!! Hopefuly they'll start at civilised times of the morning but i wouldn't fancy being a night shift worker on your street for the next 3 months!!!

They start bang on 8am most days and pack up around 3.30. They were a bit late starting today, they are usually 'gathering' from 7.30.

most of my road is retired couples, my neighbour leaves at 6 and the chap opposite is a day worker, but apart from that I'm pretty sure it's almost 100% older couples.

Nice road to live in - spookily quiet sometimes and on a Sunday it is like a scene out of an American picket fence type film with the sound of lawnmowers and people chatting over fences.

Sounds lovely and from what I can see of the street behind the humungous truck looks really pretty. Better than our identikit flat for sure! I can't wait to be able to afford to move. Given current situation its as well we didn't buy a house earlier in the year but I long for some outdoor space as well as a bit more elbow room inside. Unless a miracle happens the Bean will be about a year old before we can seriously consider a move
