There are gas men slowly starting to circle outside. The gas was supposed to go off at 8 but it's still on at the moment. I've had the hot water on since I got up as it will apparently be off all day once they start. I guess it's a few of us they are doing at a time as the whole road is having new gas pipes and then new pipes off it to each house.

I desparately want to have a good day on AQA but with a generator outside the house that's just about to start up and the prospect of either the driveway or the hallway being dug up today, it might get noisy........and messy......

Bunny, I just read that as "It's bloomin cold here but I refuse to wear clothes!!!!" :rotfl:

It's lovely here, I can't be bothered doing any work - go on holiday on Friday and have quite a bit to do before I go but I'm in holiday mood already :D

I'm stuck here all day AQA'ing, I want to earn £50 today but seeing the sparsity of questions, that's unlikely unless I glue my bum to the seat until late afternoon.

I usually work in Glasgow and its the Glasgow Fair weekend. Its just a holiday Monday for Glasgow. I'm working in Paisley today, which is just 10minutes by train, but there's no holiday here.

What's AQA? I've seen a few people mention it as an earning opportunity

Morning everyone, I've voted again keren, charlie is catching up.... keep up the good work folks.

I've been a spending again today. I've bought most of the baby stuff I need now, just a few odds and ends. I'm bidding on a huge bundle of baby clothes on ebay. I've got a couple of brand new bits in the sales but seriously newborn stuff just isn't worth the money, so second hand will do just fine.

Today I bought the cot thingy. I've got one of those Amby Nature's nest things which a couple of friends have sworn by. I'd already bought the pram/car seat combo so I think that's pretty much the big stuff done. I'm now looking at reusable nappies. I'll probably do those during the daytime at home and disposables if I'm out for any length of time or at night. Trouble is there are so many to choose from and I don't know where to start other than I want the easiest leak free system :) I'd like to say that my main reason is all green and eco friendly, but really it's because Amber loves to use nappies on her dolls and can happily go through a pack in an hour or two, so I need to minimise the potential for disaster ;)

Morning Toto. We haven't bought any baby stuff yet. Mum & Dad have offered to buy the pram combo which will be a great help but my superstitious husband won't consider buying anything until closer to Xmas. To be honest, until we declutter our junk there's nowhere to put anything anyway:o

We're looking at using a nappy service. They deliver weekly bundles of clean nappies and take the dirty ones away. The dirty ones are kept in a sealed unit which is provided as part of the deal and you just pull out the biodegradeable bag inside, tie it up and leave it for them to collect. You don't even need to be home. I get to be environmental without the additional laundry. Costwise apparenlty slightly cheaper than disposabes, partly because, according to research, the average potty training happens 6 months earlier than with disposables. Obviously not as cheap as if you did the laundry yourself though. If we had room to have nappies constantly drying I would go for the DIY option
