Got a phone call from my brother this evening. He's getting married again :j. I'm so pleased for him. He's back to his old self (the brother I knew and loved before he married the evil one :rotfl:). He's happy again now and says that now he can view his first marriage from a distance he realises just how bad it was. Mind you he did get a lovely son from it (who is going to be his best man - he'll be 14).

    Right, I'm off to bed.

Btw on the flying today. I did erm very little actually. I did vacuum round and did the washing and the necessarys - cooked dinner and washed up - and tomorrow I'm taking DD1 to town for some last minute things for the weekend. She's in a twirlers competition which means we will both be at the sports centre for two whole days. She will be pretty occupied. I'm taking some things to keep me occupied :D

JAM - you sound happier, delighted to see it. When is your brother getting married?

You are a good mum to sit in a sports centre for two days - I would lose my mind!

He's getting married on 9 October.

This is the fourth year I've sat through a twirler's competition. I've lost my mind every year :rotfl::rotfl:. I'm making sure I'm more organised this year with lots of my own entertainment - radio with headphones to listen to the radio, book to read, embroidery, lots to eat :rotfl:( !thinks! must stock up on the chocolate tomorrow)

He lives near Manchester. It's me who lived in South Africa for a few years - I married a South African who I met on a kibbutz in 1990. Just before the first Gulf War actually, which meant I missed my chance to go to Egypt, which was the main reason I went to the Middle East. I've not been able to afford it since.

Doesn't that sound so much more romantic than 'down the pub when I was out with mates'

MR RMC has just come in and asked if I would like to go out for dinner because 'we haven't celebrated you getting a new job yet'...........nearly fell of the couch:eek:
