Cheap contract or new unlocked phone

I have a £6.00 a month Sim only contract with Talk Talk. It is 50 mins and 50 texts. Don't use my full allocation but it costs me less that I used to pay with PAYG. Problem is that my phone is on the way out. Don't know whether to opt for a dearer contract or try to get an unlocked phone. Not particularly bothered about loads of functions but want the camera in case I am involved in a bump in the car. Any helpful suggestions appreciated.

Probably the cheapest option is to buy an unlocked phone on ebay, or but a payg phone and get it unlocked. You can get PAYG phones with a camera for about £30, then I think it costs about £10 get these unlocked (will void the warranty no doubt though).

kw93cd you could opt for an 11 month free deal like the one phones4u offering at mment for the samsung j700 with 700 mins and 250 texts. have to reclaim the money though via redemption but i cant fault phones4u for that - always sent me cheque back quick. so £40 for 12 months overall.
