    hello all,

well, that's christmas over and done with, hope you all had a good one. I'll be able to post more now that the rush is over in the shop, so I can keep myself on the straight and narrow now.

I'll be glad to get rid of this year, I'm looking forward to a better one next year. xx

    Ladies

Sooooo sorry for my lack of catching up recently. Had a bit of a rubbish time to be honest, meaning my eating and spending has just gone out of control!!

My dad isnt doing well, hes started drinking again and because hes unwell anyway the medication he is ment to take can't be taken with alcohol so he just doesn't take it. So he gets drunk because hes not eating and hes in constant pain. Over christmas I was home and things just went from bad to worse.

My credit card has gone up to £2434.79 because I've been comfort spending online ( Amazon has alot to answer for!!) and I can see myself getting into that horrible spiral again!!

Sooo its 2009 and I need a good !!! kicking. Who here can do this?!

How is everyone? Did you all have a good Christmas and new year? xxxxx

    Hi Kmac,

I'm sorry about your dad, it is stressful when someone drinks too much. I hope he gets better soon, my uncle is an alcoholic, he was ready for the next world in the summer, he was in a bad way. He has turned a corner now though, he is back at work and has met a nice girl at AA, so he is doing really well. It can get better, I promise. xx

Anyway, getting yourself back into debt WILL NOT HELP YOU LADY, so find something else to do at night, just chat on here, thought you were going to join the 4K thread? That will give you lots of good ideas to see you through. Have you still got your evening job? I hope everyone else comes back on soon, it's really quiet on here of late. xx

Thanks SL :o I know that spending money is only going to make me feel better for about 10 minutes... but the time I get home I feel guilty about it.

I'm still doing my 2nd job but because its winder season I'm only getting hours at the weekends because they no longer open past 6pm. But that will change in March as they go back to the later hours so I'll be getting more hours.

As for dad, he doesnt think he has a problem and until he admits it there seems to be nothing my sister of I can do. Since my mum died 5 years ago hes gone downhill and feels there is nothing left for him, which is pretty hurtful to my sister and I.

It does seem very quiet on here, I was catching up with some posts and did wonder where the regulars had gone! xxx
