Hey guys,
Is it okay if I join in with the thread? I'm getting there with the clearing the debts side of things but in terms of losing weight...arghhh! I'm working my way through the thread but there's so many pages so it's quite intimidating lol. Do you have any quick tips for buying cheap, healthy food? And I notice you mentioned dvd's-do they work? Is there one you'd recommend in particular? I've been a member of 2 gyms in the past, one the local council ran one and one the really posh one and both were a waste of money in terms of me never going! I can't afford an exercise bike for home at the mo but i thought a dvd might get me moving.
I'm determined that when I finally have money for new clothes that I can buy them in a smaller size or 2!
Any help would be appreciated, you seem like a sound bunch.Weight loss 2015: -4lbs January (thanks flu):wall:

Hi jellybean, please do stay! WTBAS reccommeded the Davina box set to me and I'm really pleased with it, good for beginners but think it will be good for the long run too as you can do the easy or more difficult version. Not sure if I have many tips but bulk cooking works for me, cheaper and healthier.
BRRRR it's cold out today!0 -
Morning all - jelly bean welcome! I am a huge Davina advocate! The boxset is under £10 on play (i forget the exact price sorry). im 1 st down between her, walking and eating a bit better (oh and the trampette which was £12 in argos and I can do it while watching tv!). I have also got rosemary conoly this week, 3 DVDs in a boxset for under £10 with free postage on amazon! Its quite good, if u look back a page or 2 u will see a post where i did a mini review for erm kmac? i think0

Morning everyone,
I've not been on for a couple of days as it has been soooo busy. I went to see the wee fella on Friday, he was so excited, he knew something was going on and was actually showing off!!!
Was out for lunch with my friend yesterday, to a chinese buffet:eek:   (well, you have to get your moneysworth:p ), it was actually nice, I am not into buffets usually as it might be 5 days old, or soemone's child has had their hands all through it.
I've just washed my outside bin it was horrible. I used to get the guy to wash it but it went up to £1.50 a time and I kept missing him, it ended up I owed him £12.00 one time, so I told him not to come back. My neighbour has a habit of dumping her extra rubbish in my bin, and I know this may sound a strange thing to say, but her rubbish is stinking, so it has stank my bin out. I'm only here myself and when DH is away, I don't have to use it very much. I would never say anything as they are the nicest, most helpful people ever, so it would be really petty to say, hey your rubbish stinks, don't put it in my bin.:p So I will need to wash it reguarly. I might even bring my mum's rubbish up to fill it so that the neighbours won't fit.:rotfl: :rotfl:
That's enough rubbish talk for the day, going for breakfast and hoping that I will lose something on the weigh in tomorrow.
Speak soon,

Oh WTBAS, that is a big thing to share, I do hope you perk up soon, maybe it is just going to take time to wean off the tablets?
That's great news with your buisness!
I have now got all my christmas presents for this year! I'm proud of myself but bit sad that I have no excuse to go shopping anymore! lol!
Things are going so much better with my boyfriend, I think it was just insecurity and paranoia on my part, he's planned a surprise weekend away this weekend! I thought we were just going to visit his family but he said that I'll need my passport! so I'm all excited now!0 -
Hiya ladies
WTBAS, that is a huge thing for you to share with us. I'm so glad you feel you can tell us these things. You might be feeling a bit down because you're body is getting rid of the tablets that are still in your system, its great though that you feel you dont need them any more. That is a great step in the right direction
CC - surprise weekend? you lucky devil!! I'm glad things are better betweeen you guys. Now lets get my personal life sorted out!!
I moved flat this weekend, paid deposit and rent and bought essentials for the flat all without going into my overdraft or using my credit card - that will be the first time I've moved flat and still been in credit!!

I am starting the week afresh after a bad weekend of eating (was mil's 50th so there was a big meal out and so many bottles of wine. and of course y'day i was very hungover and hungry!)
anyway.....i've started to keep a diary and count the cals just to see exactly what i'm munching on. it doesn't help that i'm only working my 2 part time jobs at the mo which are both in the evening so i'm snacking all day. I reckon once i start my new job next week which is 9-5 i can get rid of the munchies.
we shall see.....
hope everyone else had a good weekend. ooh and i've added the davina boxset to my xmas wish list as i'm too poor to get it at the mo but there's nothing to stop me running till then, it's just so cold!
enough excuses-off i go
