    Hi all,

it is quiet, is everyone busy today? I've had a good day, slept in late, had breakfast, went to help poorly, he is moving back into my mums, but is going to visit my uncle in Ireland on Thursday. Then went to the inlaws.

I'm going to look out all my presents now to see exactly what Ive got. The weigh in is in the morning, I'll let you all know how I've gotten on.

    Its monday so I'm back!!!

Had a fab weekend - well it was a mixed bag but ended in a great way so I'm thinking it was great... Here is how it went ( this could be long)

    Friday...

Finished my 2nd job at 10pm and went to the pub for a wee drink but just had water :j then chatted to my mates ( and soon to be new flatmates) and planned the flat move which is happening this weekend.

    Sat...

Went to work at my 2nd job, worked a short 5 hr shift then someone called in sick so I covered their late shift as well, so in addition to getting 4 hours more work I made £45 in tips :D which paid for my Mr T's trip that evening to get boxes and cleaning stuff for moving flat.

    Sun.

Packed up my room, tidied up stuff sorted out things to sell on Gumtree ( LOTS) and even had to throw away quite a bit. Then I got 3 texts one after other, 2 from the man I'm having problems with right now and 1 from my ex who I split from about 8 months ago. Was chatting away to him and it turns out hes getting itchy feet with his new girlfriend ( deja vu...) and he wanted to talk it through and he knew that I'd listen...

So met him for coffee and turns out that he split with me because he was scared of getting into a relationship he wasnt ready for. He apparently met this girl a couple of months after me and she was really laid back until recently where she has been demanding that he take her out, pay for things and holidays etc. Anyway he'd been thinking about me recently ( so he says) and wanted to talk to me because he felt bad for the way things worked out.

I played it cool and just though to myself, why is it everything happens at once?! lol

    Never mind.

Sunday night was ace, went to singing/drama class and just had great chat with the people there.

So ove rall a great weekend, havent weighed myself however the trousers that used to look like I'd sprayed them on fit me ok now :rotfl: so thats a good sign.

How is everyone here today? xx

  • lol hurrah for the "sprayed on" trousers looking well now! Thats always good. I put on a pair of brown trousers i hadn't worn in a while the other day and they r baggy under the bum now - woohoo lol. We are all heading in the right direction which is great! Shows the thread is working!

had a good food yesterday by default... i had a quality street giant caramel cup i was saving... only when i went to get it it was gone :( was gutted because i had been so good saturday and sunday looking fwd to it and OH ate it (he says he gave it to DD, but she was far too clean to have eaten it!). Tried one of the rosemary conoly DVDs yesterday. Did about 25 mins of it. This particular DVD is broke up into 5 workouts at about 10 - 13 mins each for people who r too busy for long workouts, however u can continue onto the next set if u like and just keep the tempo up rather than going back to warm up. The have people doing the work out with her, 1 set doing it very easy, she does it mid way and the other set do it very up tempo. It was alright actually, very aerobicy (is that a word lol) which is different from Davina, so will make a pleasant change. Will try another work out today or tomorrow and then ill decide if the set gets a thumb up or down lol
  • Emmy you have become the official workout dvd reviewer on this thread :D its great!!

I move flat next week and then after that I am gonna purchase a dvd so I'll be reading the recomendations you make. xx

    Good afternoon,

I have lost 1 pound this week, I'm pleased with that, I was bad over the weekend. slow and steady wins the race and I am back on the eating plan this morning.

I had toast and peanut butter for breakfast and am now having baked potato and tuna for lunch, pasta tonight.

Kmac, where are all these men coming from, it usually works out that way, you don't get any action for ages and then you are innundated:p

    Will check in later ladies,

Well done Lynne!! Thats 1 lb closer to your target, and your food today seems very healthy and good choices!

I've just been taken out to lunch to the Hard Rock cafe so ate too much, in fact I feel ill because I ate so much. only had side portions as well but the sides were HUGE!

  • Hi ladies! Well done on the loses and maintains, I know it's tough when you only maintain when you try really hard but don't lose hope! you'll get there!

I'm not going to talk food cos it's bad but I did try my dvds, the American Billy Blanks Bootcamp one was too fast so gave up after ten mins, but the Davina Power of 3 dvd was was really good, I'd reccommend it Kmac, my legs hurt today so it must have worked a bit! I'll have a go at the 30mins workout tonight.

I was quite productive this weekend, made some more christmas crafts, and organised my gifts, as usual I have far too many for some people and not enough for others! I am seriously fighting my shopping addiction again now, I went to a charity concert of orphaned kids from Uganda on sat and it really put things in perspective!

    xx
  • CC - well done for doing the DVDs at last. I know what u mean about the giving up of the other DVD. Although I have never done it, I have done DVDs that bore me or seem to complex/hard to start out and given up! Hence why I am so pleased with Davina and er now Rosemary lol, did a 2nd DVD of her today, all fairly easy to follow but works up a good sweat and you can increase the intensity as you get better - so yes im now an advocate of both :D

Lynne - well done on the 1lb off!!! i think u need to go weigh 1lb of butter and look at it - like really look at it and think - woohoo that's gone from MY body! In fact I think we should all do that lol, good to put our loses into perspective!
