Thinking of you. I lost my Dad last year very suddenly. He was only 62. I was with him when he died. He's not gone though, he's still here with me. And I know your father will still be with you.

I know right now it seems the pain won't end, which is true, but it does fade. You'll come through this.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss Gabgab, wishing you strength & comfort at this time.

I know exactly what you mean about a good innings, my grandand was heading tomwards 90 when he died & I was convinced he was invincible so his "good innings" were of no comfort to the family

My mother died suddenly over ten years ago and I have tears pouring down my face as I never let myself grieve because I was trying to be strong for everyone else.

Do not make that mistake - let your relatives cry with you while you remember what a lovely person he was.

    Big Hug.

So sorry to hear about your dad. We are thinking about you.
  • The strange thing about losing a parent whatever age you are, I think, is how you immediately feel like a child again - you just want your mum / dad! Gabgab, take comfort in the fact that he knows you love him and he loves you - at the end that is one of the most precious things you can have! He doesnt sound like the kind of man who would want his child upset so cry when you feel like crying and laugh when you feel like laughing. Another big hug from me!

I'm thinking of you too. I'm just so sorry to hear of your loss, and i so wish i could think of something helpful or comforting to say.

You know when you hear about a disaster, or a tragedy somewhere in the world, and you can help in your own small way by donating some money? I wish that we could do the same with emotions - donate a little bit emotionally, by taking on a tiny bit of someone elses pain, just to make it a little easier for them. We all feel for you, and wish you the best xxx

I'm sorry to hear about your Dad, I too wish I could say something to ease your pain at such a difficult time. All I can offer are my sincerest thoughts and a big virtual hug and hope that they offer a little bit of comfort to you.

Reading the way you wrote about your father brought a smile to my face, he has gifted you with wonderful memories. Treasure and cherish xx
