Late payment scam again

YorkshireBoy. I think you are correct although something changed overnight. Not only does the Statement tab include a statement for August but the summary now includes a due by date. The due by date shown is typical of dates of previous statements.
The statement that the new due by date should appear in is the September one. Having been alerted by their letter I was studying the account too closely it seems and thought I saw a whole new problem.
When the September statement arrives I will put a posting on here saying what moved, if anything. It's not my fault your honour, they made me do it.0 -
You can see from message 32 that I said I would let you know if anything of note happened in the September.
Here are some recent "due by" dates.
March 2008 24/3/2008
April 2008 23/4/2008
May 2008 25/5/2008
June 2008 23/6/2008
July 2008 26/7/2008
August 2008 24/8/2008
September 2008 20/9/2008
I believe that it moved by a similar amount the last time this happened and I made a late payment and got charged £15. Although I no longer have the earlier statements I believe that the original "due by" date roughly coincided with the end of the month.
I am glad that my pay day is not the 20th of the month since there could have been another late payment, well, that's not entirely true, since I am getting fed up with their mucking about I paid the card off and will only use it for the free bits in future.
They never gave any reason for doing this either last time or this time and as has been discussed before it is nothing to do with the credit crunch since the phrase had not been invented at the time of the first shift of dates. It's not my fault your honour, they made me do it.0
