Cassey congrats on your comp wins, i love winning things, although it happens rarely! That's one thing i have been meaning to get back into now that i am kind of unemployed/sef employed. Think that will be my thing for next week!

Hope your OH has a nice birthday meal.

Welcome on board to the newbies, you'll soon be addicted to this thread like the rest of us!!

Well, i have had a very busy day and have made quite a bit of progress on my business today, which makes me feel like things are moving along in that area. My partner cooked lunch and is going to cook tea tonight so i haven't had to cook at all today which is fab, plus he's used his money for the food so it hasn't cost me anything!

Sophiesmum, let me know what you think of the website, it would just be interesting to know what other peoples opinions are of it. I like anything that helps me be more productive or motivates me.

    Have a great evening everyone!

    Hi Everyone,
    • Today has been really good ~ the sun is shining, and I have picked 9 runner beans from the garden (came home from shopping to find a fat slug enjoying one, and a half eaten bean) so decided to pick all that were a decent size.
    • Popped into town and bought some material to make tunics for my holiday (8 or 9 weeks to go ~ am getting v excited).
    • Went to homebase (for the second day running) and got some terracotta pots for my strawberry plants (yesterday when I went, I got smaller pot for my free pepper seeds and 2 reduced Chilli plants)
Will get back on the NSD and DF plan from tomorrow

    Have a great evening everyone

    Thanks
    Candy

Late one from me, been busy today! Got up at 8.15am, unheard of on a saturday!!!

    Today I have:
    • Walked DS to his friends party, then walked home
    • Above present from pressie box and reused a gift bag rather than buy wrap, bought 25p value card last night when shopping
    • Done housework and feel very good! Just the kids rooms to attack before they break up :T
    • Meals from stores
    • Washed 3 loads on 30 quickwash, using half powder, half crystals and used half measure of fab cond
    • Walked to town (and back) and spent nothing! DS got a new game for 98p (preowned it was £12.99, where is the sense!) and I used points to get my mum a pressie she had her eye on - she does lots to help me out, so its my thank you :)

    Hi all! :hello:

    Today I have:
    • Done piggyclicks and lightspeed checks
    • Checked internet banking
    • Had a NSD! :j (Only the 2nd this month, so I need to step these up if I am to hit my target of 5 for the July NSD challenge…)
    • Cleaned out my fridge/freezer – everything removed into coolbags and the whole thing thoroughly cleaned, then everything put back in some type of order (and made an inventory, so that it makes meal planning easier, and will hopefully prevent any fresh fruit/veg going off unnoticed in the depths of the fridge!) :T
    • Done 2 loads of washing and dried them on the airer to save tumble drying
    • Eaten all meals out of the storecupboard/freezer
Nicki_Sue, re: your question yesterday about my Lidl shopping, I have to admit that we are currently trying to use through the storecupboard and freezer, so £11.18 didn’t buy us all the food which we will be eating this week – more “topped up” with bits we needed to make meals out of things we already have in...;) However, I am a big fan of the shop (am a fairly recent convert!) – Mr P and I are yet to try something which we haven’t liked, so are gradually trying more and more things each time we go. :D

Bagpus, congrats for your results on the anatomy exam, you should be very proud. What course are you studying for?

Thanks Andan:A I'm studying with oxford college of distance learning for an anatomy diploma. I was studying with Shirley Price Aromatherapy (as that's what I want to do) but they went bust after I'd been with them for 5 years, I was only 6 months away from qualifying but now have to start again. I also lost the £1000+ I'd paid them but I've got tradings standards on to that:mad:

Hi All, hope you're having a good weekend. Have had quite an expensive (but fun) day today. We went to cinema with our 3 boys to see Wall-e, went and had a burger at BK, and went shopping for some school bits and bobs. I did however, do my Piggy Clicks, transferred some money into ISA, and checked yougov, and quidco. I WILL do better tomorrow.

  • Hey anyone about? Late post from me today.

Well i ended up going to harvester for a meal with family. That was £12. But it was nice to go out the four of us, and it was in my budget. Im giving myself £20 a week for treats....so 8.00 left till friday!! Can i last!!!

The good news is i took the faulty new sat nav back to tesco and got a 100.00 pound refund! no hassels too! And i have got the old tom tom working again by downloading the software. Its fine and can get me to work tomo! So i have put that refund in my sealed pot challange. My date is July 2009!! Though i think ill need another by then!!

Other than that, no spending. Sister bought me some new hair bands which were on sale in claires for a quid. My hair is getting long now! Im fussy with the hair bands i have!

Im off to bed soon, im up at 4.30am for work for the next 4 days then 1 night shift and a day off!!! So i hope everyone has a good week, try your best. Ill be posting again and reading throught the weeks on Friday eve.

    Good morning all,

Not like me to be on here so early but going out soon(ish).

    My dfw things for today:
    • washed clothes and hung on line (which I have just taken in due to the rain  now it has stopped - no doubt it will be back on again - one of those days)
    • received payment for 1 ebay item sold
    • will go dutch for our late anniversary dinner - not very money saving for me but DH is low on cash (he normally pays as he's never been thoughtful enough to buy me a present or card for that matter)
    • will go to Homebase as it is 10% off day as we need a few things
That's all so far. Have quite alot of stuff I could probbaly Ebay but can't seem to motivate myself when I'm tired after doing the usual housework and this dreadful Summer is really quite depressing.

    More to add:
    • Brought lunch from Greggs but used Luncheon vouchers so paid 11p cash
    • found 1p
    • anniversary dinner only tipped 7.5% and not 10% :o
    • took 1 x sachet of sugar I got with my tea which wasn't used - normally wouldn't bother but it's only going to go in the bin and with all the increases every little helps
    • took unused wet wipe home
    • brought paint from Focus which was £3 cheaper than paint brought only 2 hours earlier in Homebase so will be taking that back for refund tomorrow
    • used £9 Focus vouchers
    • put a few more money off coupons in my purse
That's all I can think of.

Oh Andan I'll be checking out that website too. :-)
