Saturday 19/07/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

I have:
  • check online banking - money from amazon books sales arrived:D
  • update spreadsheets
  • clicks
  • Make a loaf in breadmaker
  • storecupboard lunch
  • Go to town for new clothes but spend vouchers left from my birthday.
  • Stock up on anti perspirant at boots from points:D
  • Buy some goodies from cheap shop to take to cinema tonight - not paying cinema prices for them:eek:
  • Clean house with stardrops and microfibre cloths
  • Already been to asda and got some of the 50p butter, mushrooms and kiwis:D
Have a good day everyone, hope we have lots of lovely positive posts like yesterday:j :j
Welcome to any new posters:D and hi to all the regulars:hello: :hello: :hello:

    Morning All :hello:
well so much for my lie-in! The cat has been stompimg round my bed and patting my face and trying to get me up for *hours*! I thought he was hungry, but there's food in his bowl that DS2 must have put in, and the cat has decided to reject that flavour  We currently have a stand off:
    Him -meow feed me meow
    Me -That's cat food & you're a cat, so eat :o

    So for today I will:
    • do clicks
    • check on-line banking
    • get DS2 to find the (school) library book which I will have to buy if he doesn't:mad:
    • MENU PLAN, I must get to grips with this :D
    • Buy a pot with a lid at the pound shop for the coffee grounds at work, so I can use them to deter slugs.
    • Arrange to go to the cinema with my 2-for-1 ticket
    • if it ever stops raining I'll get in the garden.
Have a good one-hope it's dry where you are :D

HI guys, expensive day for me today, go a (Free) babysitter from midafternoon until tomorrow morning so doing a pub crawl, its an annual event in our little town. Will therefore be spending some money. To be on the positive side, I will
    - be washing to sofa throw at 30 quickwash seen as I spilt beer on it yesterday, but it has preserved the sofa as it didnt go through
    - put some washing on airer to dry
    - hopefully boyfriend can fix the drive shafts on the car so we dont have to pay mechanic, think its just fallen out, not worn.
