It was a lovely evening thank you! Yummy dinner, nice couple of glasses of wine and shared a dairy milk...:rotfl:
DD1 even stayed off the pc all night and sat with me, we played some rummikub too and had a really good evening. SHe'll be asleep for ages yet I'm sure. DD1 is up, has been since half 7 - I really should go see if she wants feeding:rotfl:
Awful wet day here - a stay at home day I think:DI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Roast is in the oven, smelling good:p
I've done lots of ironing, put it away, sorted out a couple of drawers in my room and made room for summer clothes to go in.
I've just ordered E a DSi for her birthday - found an offer of £30 off if you bought from a catalogue, so openend one of their accounts which I'll pay outright when the statement comes - bargain. Will sell her current DS, should get about £70, so makes the new one £50....much better price;) Did exactly the same for G's birthday with a Littlewoods catalogue, same offer. Her pink DS for sale on ebay now.
Need to clean the bathroom soon and get listing on ebay. We're eating at lunchtime today, give us a more relaxing evening I thought.
Washing done - but rain came down so it's in off the line and plonked in the basket, must get it on the airer.I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
What a bargain with the DSi! I'm desperate for one of those... must resist!
Mmmm roast sounds lovely.Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! Now £44684.Fat loss 29/85lbs // £100 into £10k £243.07/£10kHSBC Loan 9658 // HSBC CC 3484 // HSBC CC 1464 // DP's 779 // Car 0% 4851 // Halifax OD 1348 // HSBC OD 1.5k // HSBC OD 1k // Barclays OD 400 // IOMOM 4400 // S Loan 15k // Cap1 £8000 -
Evening;) Not a huge amount to report. NSD today - ebay stuff sent and bought reduced cherries and choc chips out of grocery spends today. After school I made some cookies with DD2, hence the choc chips:D Kept her happy, kept me from falling asleep on sofa and a nice cheap treat for us all!
She also made the meatballs for our dinner - very niceand a portion in the freezer. Made a loaf in BM to go with dinner, was lovely. What a good housewife:D Have hoovered downstairs and had a big clear up of the kitchen - looked like a bomb had landed!
Surprisingly enough money from ex did go in today - not quite all he owes me, £30 short, but better than nothing:rolleyes: I texted and asked for the rest but he reckons he didn't get paid on Friday....yeah right:rolleyes: Funny how he was on a stag weekend now has no money for me....makes me soooo cross:mad:
And no housing benefit in:mad: When I told them of my (slight) rise in wages 2 weeks ago they said my current claim would be suspended. I rang them today and she said it's waiting to be looked at, hasn't been done yet. Luckily I'm paid next week so all my dds will be paid ok and rent's not due til the 10th, but still annoying....so hope they hurry up with that.
I rang UCAS as still not heard - woman said the unis can have til July20th to give offers. But a woman at work has applied to do the same course and heard in 2 weeks. So I emailed my college tutor as she's a tutor on the degree course too, she said I'll be fine to have a place as have the qualifications and experience but she'll email the uni and see what's going on.....:p
Anyway, off for a mooch about here and early night:oI really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Glad to hear you got some of the money from your ex! & yes, these non-paydays often occur when there are celebrations to be had!Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! Hi Milly
I'm sure I have read that your DD's do seem to do alot of 'crafty' type activities?
Just wondered if you knew what them things are called that are loads of tiny pins that make up a picture?!
I am trying to think of things for DD for the half term. I am going to do a paper mache pig with her but after that I am stumped! I'm not very arty minded but I know she would love it so trying to come up with some things to keep her occupied.
Any other suggestions, I don't mind spending some money.
Thanks

Well, I can think of sequin art - which is lots of little pins that you put through coloured sequins to make either a picture or a 3D model. Think the pictures are slightly easier - we had 3d models but they needed a lot of my help...my nieces have the pictures and can get on with them more themselves.
My eldest (just turned 12) has just made a paper mache vase for school - we used a long balloon for the shape. For the paste we just used watered down PVA glue, which worked really well. It was a fab vase in the end - took ages, so that'll keep your DD amused - you have to keep coming back to it, a good ongoing project:D
What else? Foil scraper pictures are lovely, and they can get on with them themselves - we have copper and silver ones, think you can get them in Argos.
Another thing mine have had hours of fun with - pavement chalks! Not had them in a couple of years, but loads of fun. Cardmaking....we have a box full of bits for that....
Ahhhhhh I've just remembered the 'Klutz' books - have a search on Amazon. I bought them both a book each that comes with loads of templates to make mini fashion designs, there's loads of different patterned paper, fabric and mini coat hangers - its a fantastic book. mine bought a nice notebook each, called it a 'Style File' and made pages full of little designs and outfits.... We must get those books out again soon;)
Definitely search the Klutz books...:p Hope there are some ideas for you;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
