basically i'd like to know if this will work

ive been with o2 online (pay monthly contract) for a while and have just upgraded and no longer require my W300i

my mum is after a phone and is currently on o2 pay as you go, however she wants to change from o2 to tesco

now as far as i know, tesco is not a service provider, their provider is o2 and so i dont see any reason why her new tesco sim will not work in my o2 handset

can anyone confirm if they know this will work or will it need unlocking etc?

Try it and see (won't do either phone or SIM any harm). They have worked ok previously.

thats true, worst it'll do is not work/load when the phone's turned back on

won't be seeing her for another 4-5 weeks as live up the other end of the country, if i knew it was a deffo non-starter i would of flogged the phone and give her the money you see, also might save me having to pack it lol
