What a rotten time you are having.
Some really sound advice from the others.
Just wanted to say that I am thinking about you and hope that you get some good news about your dad soon.
Hugs
xxxxThank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0 -
Oh Daisychain, you are having it rough, just popped into give big hugs from me. Theres always people on here who will give you a shoulder to cry on, & some sound advice when you need it. Take care of yourself & deal with you problems & worries one at a time. I find it handy to write lists, makes me feel happier & like I'm progressing to be able to tick things off - Your Dad is obviously top of your worries so why not busy yourself by getting a few things together for him to do in hospital, you can either take them to him or post them. You cant take a step forward with both feet on the ground0

Hi. I hope that you had a good visit with our Dad and that he's okay. Don't be hard on him for his attitude. People have different comping mechanisms and it's better that he's feeling upbeat about things......some people are just troopers and nothing can get in their way.
With regards to the job, well it will work out, it just takes time and work. You have lots on your plate and being there for your parents are the most imporant thing. Have you posted an SOA up to see where any savings could be made on your monthly expenditure etc? During times of financial drought, it can be a worthwhile exercise.
Losing a pet is very hard. They are such an important part of any family. Have you marker their passing in any way? Perhaps by framing a special photo, or putting together a box of their "things"? It can help. I still have to scatter the ashes of my beloved rabbits that we lost two years ago as I still find it so hard to think about letting go."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

Hi daisychain,
just popped back in to see if there was any news. I have been thinking of you on and off today.
Try and get a restful night, and enjoy spending as much time as you can with your Dad.
Hugs.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Sending hugs too. I had a horrible time 3 years ago when everything seemed to be going wrong including my dad in Intensive Care. I found it made it easier for me just to type up how I felt each day and how dad was so that after a few days I could at least see there was some improvement even though from day to day I didn't think so. Thinking of you and hoping things improve soon.0
