  • Well having just paid the remainder of the deposit for new rental house, I have the equivalent of my share of the rent for here which should cover it. I was hoping to use it to get the inevitable stuff that we're going to need, but this comes first. I guess the timing is good because any other time I wouldn't have stood a cat in hell's chance of finding it. Makes me more determined than ever that any spare cash that is left at the end of the month - whether it be 50p or £50 is gonna be put aside for just such eventualities.

Sorry to hear this Merry, mine is due end November and know it will not pass positive of it. Have to put two new tyres on anyway so more expense, agree on needing a fund set aside for the MISHAPS, breakdowns and complete blow ups.

Mind you be proud, the credit card would have picked that up some time back!

Gotta say, I did think 'dang, could have done with my credit card' but you're right - however tight it makes things, it's nice to know I won't owe anyone for it - the money will be there, it will be paid, and it won't come back to bite me in the bum in the form of credit interest at a later date

Thanks honey. Am feeling a bit down this evening - just seem to spend my time with lists and spreadsheets trying to figure out how to do all of this. I'll be ok - i just need to recharge.

  • Hi Merry,
I've been reading your threads for a while now, and just want to thank you for being so honest and inspiring. I'm sorry about the car, and this may not help how you're feeling right now, but I'm sure you'll work it out - and be proud of paying for it with no credit! Take care CBx

    (((hugs))) Merry.

Sorry you are feeling down but please do be proud of yourself for being able to sort it with not even the thought of a CC.
