Sky+ box problems

Wonder if anyone else has had this. My Sky+ box has started to go into a kind of letter-box mode on most channels, with a black band top and bottom, and rather squat looking people. TV seems ok on separate freeview, so it must be the Sky+. Pulling the power cord for a couple of minutes seems to help, seems ok on re-boot, but happens again after some time, varying intervals, and not all channels, but most. Could it be the LNB? Connections seem ok.

It is not the LNB, probably the Sky+ receiver itself.

Hi there, I've seen the same thing, happened to me at the end of May.

Full reboot (power off for 1 minute) cleared the black bars for me.

Tried the power off bit, but it still reappears, seemingly at random. Caved in and phoned Sky, so hopefully it will be fixed soon. Thanks all.
