Sky+ box problems

Wonder if anyone else has had this. My Sky+ box has started to go into a kind of letter-box mode on most channels, with a black band top and bottom, and rather squat looking people. TV seems ok on separate freeview, so it must be the Sky+. Pulling the power cord for a couple of minutes seems to help, seems ok on re-boot, but happens again after some time, varying intervals, and not all channels, but most. Could it be the LNB? Connections seem ok.

It is not the LNB, probably the Sky+ receiver itself.0

Hi there, I've seen the same thing, happened to me at the end of May.
Full reboot (power off for 1 minute) cleared the black bars for me.0 -
Tried the power off bit, but it still reappears, seemingly at random. Caved in and phoned Sky, so hopefully it will be fixed soon. Thanks all.0
