3 payg "per minute" charging!!!!!! Surely NOT

I have just seen on the 3 website that from 11 August 2008 all calls will be rounded up to the next minute (http://www.three.co.uk/personal/price_plans_/pay_as_you_go_/what_it_costs.omp). This is quite different from the first minute being rounded up, then per second charging for the rest of the call.

Is it coincidence that this has come about just after the implementation of the new EU roaming tarriffs? Yes it may be a little cheaper to use our mobiles abroad for a one off holiday, but it seems we will be forever paying for it!

I cannot find any info with regards to new ways of charging for the other networks, but where one goes, surely the others will follow?
