Best IPhone contract?

Best IPhone contract?

My boyfriend is planning to give up his old IPhone to me once he gets the latest (hot of press) version.

I’m currently on contract with 02, upgrade in August and have found them to be great. However I’d like to know if any of you money savers out there know the best contract for me as I already have a handset? Cheapest I've seen is:

£30 a month 75 mins 125 texts
£35 a month 600 mins 500 texts
Lighbulb moment Mar 06  Total debt £26023.60 Apr 06  Total Debt Now £22714.87 Total Paid Off £3308.73(12.71%) Debt Free Date 2013_party_

  • Triple r,
both the deals you have quoted are pretty poor.
There are sim only deals available that are much better. Or get a contract with another provider. Use your boyfriend's old iPhone which I'm assuming will be jailbroken/unlocked/activated.
...and then the window licker said to me...

I saw they were offering pay as you go sims for old Iphones, on the normal tariffs, so there is a chance that a simplicity pay monthly sim will work in an old Iphone. There isnt much point paying for that £30 tariff though, pathetic allowance of minutes and text!

Worth ringing them and asking, may even offer a retention deal for your existing contract.

I have an old handset that is web capable. I therefore moved to the online Simplicity £20 package. This gets me 400 minutes, free O2 to O2 calls and 1000 texts, add on the £7.50 for "unlimited" browsing (I say unlimited as that is what all their documentation says and what the people in store think it is, the only time it mentions a limit is on their billing where it is listed as "web bolt on (200Mb)" or if you ring up customer services and ask specifically what the limit is) and for £27.50 I have a reasonably well spec'd tariff that I reckon could cope with an iPhone (well, I was going to look for a second hand handset), although it will not offer visual voicemail as you must be on an iPhone tariff to get that.

Why not "upgrade" to the £25 Simplicity tariff and choose the Unlimited Web bolt on over the Unlimited o2 to o2 calls?

    If you won't go over 600 mins a month you'll save £2.50 :).
