K700i - unlocked

Hi,

I've got a Sony Ericsson K700i which was originally on an O2 contract from March 2004 to April 2005. I'd like to sell this phone now, but I don't know whether to sell it as 'locked' or 'unlocked' (as I believe most O2 K700i's were unlocked). Is there any way to test whether the phone is unlocked? I've tried inserting a 3 3G sim card in it which it won't accept, but I don't know whether this means the phone is locked or it won't accept any 3G sim. Any ideas?

hi 3g cards wont work on the normal gsm networks as 3 won't allow them to access the network. I was with o2 and my phone was not locked so you might be ok. I think voda use the same frequency as o2 so you need to use either a orange, t- mob, virgin sim and see if it works on that network. If its ok the network sign should appear on the screen if its not locked. If it's locked you won't get a signal.

if it is locked voda wont work either so try any sim other than o2 (and 3)
i think nearly all o2 contract phones are unlocked
