    Thanks Pania...

    wealth of information there...
Met the mother of the pups as well, called FiFi (each to their own) and she had a wonderful temperament, was really calm, even with me handling her first litter, sat by my feet, wasnt going mental or anything, didn't jump up, and thinking about it when we walked, she was always behind me, so mum's a very good dog, hopefully our Gordon will inherit a bit of that.
Also getting a copy of his lineage as well so thats good.

Really want to do right by him so glad i ordered the book and have people on hand to give advice etc, I dont want to be one of these irresponsible owners as I dont think its fair on the dog to not be able to provide for them....

Also got all of DH's xmas presents done now as well, just 2 more waiting to be delivered, should hopefully come tomorrow....
Will need to get some more paint as well. DH and I couldnt agree on paint for the first reception room at cottage, fairly small room, south facing, but has dark beams, but i really hate brilliant white so going to have to think about that one...i dont want anything yellow tinged, but DH does.... lol.... oh well one room out of three to disagree on isnt too bad I guess....

Will most likely be paying the rest of our monies on it this week, and will have the keys on the 8th....

Back into work tomorrow as Im now pretty sure i dont have chicken pox, its all practically gone now.... the healing power of calamine lotion obviously... was weird though lol

    Pania while you're here.....................

my pup is brilliant if slightly mad and is perfect in all respects apart from when we are eating.

She is a right pain with my little girl when she has food, forever jumping up her and trying to get the food.

I have tried everything with her but nothing is working. What do you recommend?

I think this is something to do with pack order? i think anyway....

Pup might think she's higher in pecking order than your little girl.... I cant remember what I saw about correcting that.....:A
Sure it was on Me or The Dog:rotfl:

spot on CAFC. Doodle the way to sort it is for DD to do some work with her. when little one jumps up. do not say a word just turn away from her, do not look at her or acknowledge her just turn away and the second her bum is on the floor (she'll get the idea in the end ;) ) looads of praise and good girling. without food to start with. Get DD to feed her, prepare her food and let pup see her doing it. then get DD to eat a biscuit and THEN put the food down for pup. (the idea being that alpha or higher pack members get first access to the food.)
Get DD to hold a small piece of cheese in her hand sitting on a chair. offer it out to pup and as she goes to take it DD should say "off!" as loudly as possible. pup will back off in shock and give her praise for that. then hold it out again and with the comment "take it!" allow her to take it.
Pup will soon get the idea that DD is in control of her food supply and if DD or anyone else for that matter has food it is theirs until they decide to give it to her.

The funniest thing i have ever seen is when i put 6 pieces of liver in a circle on my x's dining room floor. The poor dog sat and faced the wall so he couldn't give in to temptation and eat it. I left him there for 5 minutes until i let him go. It was lovely and sweet and an amazing feeling of satisfaction that you can train them to do such a thing!

Sorry for the ramble CAFC and for the hijack. Doodle PM me hon if you want to know anymore.

    Lots of love
